2. The notice shall state the reason for the tree's removal, the estimated week it will be <br /> �...:,. removed, a contact number to call for further information, and that the record of examination <br /> and diagnosis is available for inspection at Public Works - Maintenance, 1820 Roosevelt <br /> Blvd., Eugene, OR 97402 -4199, (503) 687 -5220, during business hours. In addition, a rough <br /> map will be drawn showing where the tree(s) are located relative to the signs placement. The <br /> tree to be removed will be marked with a band of tree marking paint approximately 4" wide <br /> and 4.5' from the ground. <br /> 3. The notice shall be on 8.5" x 14" sheet of florescent orange paper and placed on posts <br /> fronting the nearest maintained area contiguous with the tree to be removed. <br /> 4. Exception: A tree need not be posted if the tree is posing an imminent hazard to life or <br /> property, as determined by the City, and is being removed the same day it was noted. A <br /> written record of the examination shall be made and be available for public inspection as <br /> above. <br /> C lll1�1�15 INQUIRY <br /> If a citizen has concems that the findings may be inaccurate and/or the removal is not <br /> warranted for public safety then the citizen may contact the Urban Forester and: <br /> 1. Request a field meeting with City staff for the purpose of explaining their concems. City <br /> staff will reexamine and demonstrate, using the established criteria, the defects which require <br /> the tree's removal. <br /> 2. Challenge the findings of the report and present evidence to the contrary. <br /> 3.
