First, thanks for placing
your veto on an ill conceived Tree Ordinance. I t is unfortunate that
the City Councilors ouer ruled your ueto euen though half of them
recognized the shortcomings of the ordinance as passed. They must
have felt it was necessary to show you who was boss.
Secondly, thanks for casting the final and deciding note to moue
forward on the Parkway. As far as our business is concerned, we
have mixed emotions about the benefits. But from the best interests
of the City of Eugene, the research has been done. If we haue to
start from scratch every time a new councilor comes aboard, we will
still be in the 20th Century when the 21st rolls around.
We appreciate your efforts and wisdom. You can count on our support
now and in the future.
Sincerely,
t ,E 41.~re.see--
Terry and Joan Cummings
Owners
•
4242 COMMERCE STREET • EUGENE, OREGON 97402 -5481 • (503) 687 -2255
