Date: 08/18/93
From: Linda Norris CEEXLHN - RIS1
To: Chris Andersen CEWACFA - RIS1
Bob Hammitt CEWMJRH - RIS1
Terry Smith CEWATMS - RIS1
Subject: Tree Trimming
I met with Marty Douglass yesterday to talk about the issue we have with
4" water mains - and the City /EWEB task team that will be working on the
issue. After that discussion, Marty mentioned that they are also interested
in a City /EWEB task team to work on the issue of integrating and coordinating
tree- trimming work that we both do. Marty has briefly mentioned this issue
to Shawn, who is interested in the concept. Marty said that Susan Brody
was also going to mention it to you, Terry, at your meeting.
They would like to have a couple of technical people and one or two upper -
level managers on the team. They think the group could find ways to save
money expended by both agencies. I think the next step is for someone in
Public Wks to talk to Marty.
Marty also said that Bob Noble has been in contact with them about
undergrounding their electrical lines. This is an issue that we have been
working on with them before from a planning perspective. Do you know what
angle Bob is working on?
Thanks, Linda
