SENT BY:EWEB ;10 -14 -93 ; 3 :38PM ; EUGENE-' 503 683 6883;# 5
EWEB has established an environmental "check -off'' program that is reviewed prior to a
scheduled project. "Environmentally sensitive" areas within EWEB's service area have been
identified and mapped. Each crew carries this environmental map. In questionable areas,
there is pre - project consultation between the Tree Crew and the Environmental Section.
EWEB interacts with various public entities in the administration of its tree trimming
program, including the City of Eugene, the City of Springfield, Lane County, the Oregon
Departments of Forestry and Fish & Wildlife, and the U.S. Forest Service.
Suggestfo
Brad Edwards suggested that he, Adrian and Luther informally get together monthly to
review projects and explore points of collaboration or cooperation. Adrian was agreeable
to this approach.
•
