Ms. Geddes typically serves as the lead designer for site improvements and outdoor spaces. On this <br /> project Ms. Geddes will: work in concert with the architect and consultant team coordinating specific site design details <br /> and constriction requirements, including site layout, vehicular and pedestrian access, arrival, visibility, grading, paving, <br /> site fixtures, site furniture, stormwater management, screening, signage, lighting, and security. <br /> Marketing and Communications Specialist (Contracted WBGS Architecture and Planning): David Funk earned a <br /> Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. In 1980 he founded Funk & Associates, a <br /> 14- person marketing firm that specializes in corporate identity development, marketing design efforts and the <br /> development of interpretive exhibits. He has served as a Creative Director and Art Director for an advertising firm and as <br /> an Adjunct Professor at Lane Community College. Mr. Funk has been a guest lecturer at several colleges, universities, and <br /> professional conferences in Oregon. His presentations focus on: (a) marketing communications, (b) design and design <br /> management, (c) Internet marketing and design, (d) packaging, and (e) international marketing. He has received various <br /> awards for brochures, corporate identity, signage and interpretive exhibit design. Mr. Funk is a member of the American <br /> Institute of Graphic Arts, the Sacramento Art Directors Club, the Mid -Oregon Ad Club, the Eugene City Club, Landwatch <br /> and the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce. He is currently Board President of the Oregon Natural Desert Association, <br /> the Native Forest Council and the Willamette International Trade Center, as well as the Board Vice - President of the <br /> Oregon Natural Resources Council. On Project IEP Mr. Funk will: (a) construct Template Designs for the Architecture <br /> and Interpretive Components and the Education Exhibit Master Plan; (b) oversee creation of an Interpretive Vision <br /> Document; (c) oversee the creation of a Video Script, PowerPoint Presentation, Brochure Development and an 6-15 - <br /> minute video; (d) assist in reporting processes; and (e) assist in evaluation and dissemination. <br /> Interpretive Planning Staff <br /> Interpretive Specialist (Contracted WBGS): Bob Loudon, a Forest Service Interpretive Services Team Leader, <br /> brings extensive experience in the development and delivery of environmental education programs. Mr. Loudon earned a <br /> BS in Wildlife Recreation Management from Washington State University in 1985. Most recently, he served as the <br /> Interpretive Team Leader and Children's Forest Director for the San Bernardino National Forest. In these positions he <br /> developed organizational systems and delivered self - sustainable interpretation and environmental education programs. He <br /> developed 2,700 square feet of interpretive exhibits for Big Bear Discovery Center. Mr. Loudon is well versed in helping <br /> agencies develop high quality, self - sustaining environmental education and interpretive programs. With an emphasis on <br /> partnerships, he works to create products and implement programs that enhance the visitors' learning opportunities and <br /> increase the overall quality of their experience.
