<br /> Conducted computerized database searches and created a library of printed resources. Assisted in the
<br /> research, writing and editing of numerous grants funded through the U.S. Department of Education.
<br /> Conducted comprehensive program evaluations of the fifth year elementary and secondary teacher
<br /> education and doctoral programs within the Division of Teacher Education. Conducted course
<br /> evaluations for the U.S. Department of Human Services and evaluated juvenile court staff
<br /> development curriculum.

<br /> Instructor. Families in Crisis, Home School Interventions, Child Abuse and Substance Abuse, and Coping
<br /> with Today's Child in the Classroom. Responsibilities included: (a) collaborative course development,
<br /> (b) creating and editing curriculum materials, (c) delivery of instruction, (d) grading student papers,
<br /> and (e) assisting in course evaluations.
<br /> Advisor. Responded to inquiry correspondence related to elementary, secondary and special
<br /> education programs. Edited student - generated letters. Conducted information sessions and provided
<br /> guidance and assistance to persons interested in careers in education. Advised basic teacher
<br /> certification students regarding program and degree requirements. Supervised 8-10 undergraduate
<br /> peer advisors, worked cooperatively on various projects and provided training and support. Referred
<br /> College of Education students in need of other services to the appropriate resources.
<br /> Editor and Writing Tutor. Provided editorial assistance to students within the College of Education
<br /> and the College of Human Development and Performance who were writing dissertations and theses.
<br /> Also provided tutoring for ESL students who were experiencing difficulty with written English.
