1
think this is one of the best morale boosters we have all year. Everyone enjoys it
and it helps build team spirit. 10 -15 minutes maximum time. An award and maybe a
coffee cup with mention to the special recognition. Not only is a tribute to the
employees, but it is also beneficial because of the extra training.
Yes its good for morale. Its nice to pat a co- worker on the back.
Should a slide show (as done in previous years) be incorporated into the employee
awards /recognition ceremony again next year? Yes 38 Don't Care 17 No 10
Every other year - that way you have new information to pass on. Slides at least
show what's going on. However, keep it to 30 minutes and show work of all crews.
Maybe not as long as in past. Only if it could be a humorous theme. Was enjoyed
more than this years 2:30- 3:30pm classes. People like to see themselves on the
screen. Hammitt's presentation of the awards was very well done and showed that a
slide show is completely unnecessary. It could provide greater interest. Sounds
fun. If the tv /video system is used again, I suggest getting the bugs out of the
equipment. We have too many employees to be able to set up and view a slide show
effectively. Also, if a slide is not shown of a particular work group, they may
feel slighted -to cover everything would be too long. It is nice to have a re -cap
of year's accomplishments. Yes, if possible. Very enjoyable. This is a very
personnel approach to the ceremony. 10 -20 minutes slide show might be nice, but
we wouldn't want to take more than 30 minutes total for awards and slide show.
Please include the bloopers on slides for next year and more prizes.
A professionally done slide show with a music track is entertaining. Slides by
themselves especially of the area covered by PW are drudgery.
Could you hear /see the awards ceremony? Yes 63 No 1
Need better sound. Much better sight /vision than last year. Just right. A
raised "stage" could be helpful. No problem. Easily. If we had a series of
training sessions relating to the categories for which we present "employee awards"
we could give the awards that time and then simply make an announcement at the
luncheon, in case some employees were not at the training. Good job. Good
format. Maybe a riser and a lecture table. I was sitting up front - I'm not sure
what it was like in the back. Better than fleet shop. Not enough seating.
ADOPT A FAMI L Y
Should the Division continue to participate in a community benefit project such as
the Adopt a Family program? Yes 60 No 3
We need to be careful not to over extend ourselves and remember it is a time of
giving. In other words, don't make it more work than caring.
The last two years we have adopted families through Salvation Army?
Should we continue with this agency? Yes 53 No 6
Why not. I'm not sure what else is out there. Maybe we should rotate our giving
around - maybe Jasper Mountain, Relief Nursery, Teen Parents ??
If not, who would you suggest?
Name of Organization: Scar Mountain St. Vincent, Goodwil
worker, personal nominations could also be considered.
