. I
One suggestion was that we start the campaign mid year. Like have a fund rasing
event and not wait till the middle of November.
Are you interested in this idea? Yes 33 No 15 Don't Care 13
One suggestion was to have a bowling -a -thon. Another was to start saving money from
pop cans.
Bowl -a -thon sounds fun - it would be best to do a combination of events to raise
money, ex. can drives, raffles, etc. I think it would be good to know ahead of time
how much support we have. Plus we wouldn't feel the last minute stresses of the
holiday crunch. The card deck idea went over good, maybe you should do that a
couple of other times throughout the year. It would be best not to drag this out.
Do a fund raiser that is quick. People could bring in cans during a two week
period. Only problem is someone has to deal with them. I like to bowl. Pop cans
is a good idea. Clearly marked boxes for adopt a family is easy and will collect a
lot of money. Don't try to get too big keep it small, one or two families. I
hate fund raising events like "bowl -a- thons." I would rather just give money to a
worthy cause. Pop cans. Golf tournament /fishing tournament. Cardboard
recycling, Scrap steel recycling. Ideas - garage sale(everyone contribute), Some of
our athletes could get people to pledge monies for the events they take part in.
These are all good ways to build up our fund. Gene's card deck was another good
idea. Both good thoughts. Should others arise write them down and save for future
questionnaires such as this. I would prefer to start earlier in the year. Pop
cans seem like a good idea. "Cut a hippies pony tail" it could raise a million
laughs! Suggest an on -going program that ends or peaks at Christmas time.
Contribute in $100.00, Distribute to places such as Scar Mountain, Battered Women,
Toys for Tots, etc. Start saving money from pop cans. Employee donations. Good
ideas. Cans would be a great start. Maybe have a basketball fund raiser between
Depts. or some kind of sports competition to raise money. Drawings every month -
like lottery. It seems as though we easily reached our goal. I'd prefer something
like pop cans or simple donations over bowling. Separate training day from lunch.
Overall Training Dal:
The Training Day's goals are to provide a forum for organization development, team
building within the entire division and training opportunities for employees.
Ultimately these benefit service delivery to our customers.
To what extent did this event achieve the goals?
Achieved Purpose 34 Somewhat Achieved Purpose 25 Did Not Achieve Purpose 2
I think it provides good training opportunities. I would like to see more done
around team building seems everyone sits in their own little group (work group).
I'm not even sure who everyone is anymore. I'm also not sure how to accomplish
this. Video equipment failed. Need to get all employees more involved. Some skip
and don't ever benefit. We need teamwork to be successful. Work on ways the
different divisions can cooperate and work more efficiently together. _I think team
building /networking could benefit from slightly longer breaks between speakers. It
seems as though certain departments are always noted. 2:30- 3:30pm should be crew
time. To much for one day. Building 2 gets unreasonably hot with that many people
in it. Need a larger room -why not heated bay area. Very Helpful. Team building
across the Division could be strengthened -not really that much interaction- clique
groups still prevail. It really helps us get to know one another and feel like we
are all working together. I think and thank those who started this event however;
we should call in the clowns. While we may do some of what we hoped or intended to
do I think we are capable of doing much better. As a 1st time employee I thought
