Seemed to be warmer and cozier in the equipment bay area - plus I didn't feel like
we were disrupting someone's work space.
Do you want to continue with the current paid lunch format or return to the potluck
format? Pay for lunch 44 Potluck 6 Don't care 18
With potluck, there is a possibility of running out of food. With pay format,
should not have to worry about running out of food; but we did! Order enough next
year! Only a certain few people bring pot luck items -this way seems more
equitable. We should do potluck. This would help foster a feeling of coming
together as a family and sharing. This works the best for me because I don't cook
and it simplifies the day. I'm not the bestest of cooks and don't want anyone to
be responsible for any full belly. I would campaign to do a brown bag potluck
combination. If no one wound up contributing to the potluck they would still have
their nosebag. Great job on the lunch. I arrived late yet still had plenty of
food. Many people attended without paying! Can this get resolved some how?
Choice of potluck instead of paying rater than both if you would like to bring a
dish. Pizza!! Order more food. Keep it up. It seemed to go real good. A paid
lunch is better then a potluck but anything sandwiched between abuse, drunk driving,
wastewater and sprinkler systems is not my idea of a good time. I'm all for the
paid lunch format - providing there is enough food. I paid $10 for my family(2
adults and small child) but when we arrived in the lunch area, the chicken was gone
and not much of anything else was left. There were still people coming in behind
us. Last year the cost was less and there was more food Paid lunch is fine as
long as it doesn't get to expensive.
EMPLOYEE AWARDSIRECOGNITION
Do you feel that the employee awards and recognition ceremony is beneficial?
Very beneficial 25 Beneficial 30 Somewhat Beneficial 10 Not Beneficial 2
I think the awards bring all the employees closer together. I think it's a fun way
for people who don't normally see each other (or possibly even know each other) to
get to know one another. Seems to be enjoyed by most - good indirect team builder.
The humorous awards are great! This is a beneficial program especially since
employees are nominated and selected by their peers. Offer suggestion book year
round for awards - often good deeds are forgotten. Try to have all departments
involved. More lower rank employees. Maybe separate out awards for Exempt and Union
would get rid of the "why did a exempt get that award" Funny -Good Lunch -Good
Time. Try to ensure that it does not become a popularity contest; avoid "stuffing"
of ballot /suggestion boxes; impartial panel. Good for people to get recognition.
Gives substance and flare to the many faces one sees among the crowd. It's
appropriate recognition too. Everyone wants to be recognized for their efforts,
especially if the put in extra hours etx. Maybe we should have all those nominated
and then open the "envelope" to announce the winner. I feel this promotes unity and
team building within the organization. We recognize others who we may not know in
the organization. Continue to look for meaningful categories and ways to recognize
employees. I think we have a good start on categories. Good job, I hope I get one
some day. Perhaps not 100% beneficial yet lots of fun. Group recognition could be
looked at. Let's people know they are appreciated. The fact that employees are
recognized makes everyone willing to keep going and give the very best. I feel its
good to butonoththewwholershow. Iteisoveryhimpoortantttohorewarde
the entertainment employees.
rta
Should we continue with employee /recognition awards? Yes 50 Don't Care 13 No 1
Need to find a way to get more input. Deserving people need it -good fun too.
Good for team building. Try to include productivity and results somehow. I
