Nearing completion of the project, additional funding from this grant was offered in the amount of $8,000. Funds were used to form two work teams, the Trail Building team and the Waterway /Vegetation PARKS AND OPEN SPACE PLANNING team. The Trail Building team constructed a major portion of the Ribbon Trail, located between 30th & Spring Blvd and Hendricks Park. The Waterway /Vegetation team focused on small restoration PARK OPERATIONS projects along Amazon Creek and other natural areas in the City. The projects began in early July and run for 12 weeks, four weeks longer than originally anticipated. URBAN FORESTRY This grant is funded in part by with federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 and in part with federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and is a one time funding source NATURAL RESOURCES aimed at creating employment for youth and supporting adults up to 24 years old. The funded by this grant will be completed under activity code 216202 and has been assigned grant code 665. Please sign the attached copies of the amendment and return them to Heather Nelson (x4966).
