Specifically, the costs involve changing the elevation of two manholes (MWMC
infrastructure that Eugene is responsible for maintaining), during a road rehab project. At the end of the project, Tammy
will journal the costs for the work on the two manholes from the Regional Fund to the project fund. The account to
journal from is 533-8710-61739.

Thanks,
John

From: HUBERD John C
Sent: Thursday, July 05, 2012 2:03 PM
To: CAHILL Michelle R
Cc: MCALLISTER Troy; COX Patrick M; SMITH Tammy D
Subject: RE: IGA and Manhole Covers (434-16)

Michelle,
The manhole work is part of a larger COE capital project. However, Fund 533 – Regional Wastewater Fund has no capital
budget appropriation. Thus Fund 533 cannot pay for a capital project with our current budget. Looking at this from a
practical standpoint, I don’t think it is in the Eugene’s or MWMC interest to spend too much money, attorney time, or
staff time working out a mechanism on how to pay at $2,000 to $3,000 cost. If MWMC staff was in agreement to pay to
Eugene via invoice with a not to exceed cost of $3,000, we could consider that type of payment method.

John

From: CAHILL Michelle R
Sent: Thursday, July 05, 2012 10:47 AM
To: HUBERD John C
Cc: MCALLISTER Troy; COX Patrick M; SMITH Tammy D
Subject: FW: IGA and Manhole Covers (434-16)

Silver Lane between the westerly intersection with Sterling and River Road will get pavement rehab work starting late
July. As part of that there are some manholes on the regional force main that need adjusting. Funding should come
from regional operating budget.

Looks like there are only 3 manholes (not 20 like I thought from looking at the generic maps) that will be adjusted. The
estimated price is between $1100-1500/each. Bid opening to get contractors price will be tomorrow so Patrick will
need a budget account number early next week. Will you get the right account code to him? 533 xxx etc. (seems like
that is the best way to pay the charges).
mc
x8606
1
