Eff;:t.ive November 5, 1981, ownership of the street lighting <br />system previously provided by EWEB is transferred to your <br />agency. EWEB no longer assumes liability for operation, main- <br />tenance and construction of your street lighting system. <br />2. Ef Fact ive November 5, 1981, monthly billing rates to the City of <br />Eu^an: will be reduced to reflect only energy and associated <br />costs. Because your agency will be billed for energy only, all <br />cos�s incurred by EWEB since November 5, 1981 for maintenance <br />repair of your sz:reat lighting system will be billed to your <br />o_ncy• <br />3. you or your contractor may perform certain functions on <br />agency-owned street lighting facilities (including the repair <br />an i:)aintenance of street light arms., heads, photocells or <br />ballasts), work performed directly upon EWEB poles (including <br />Telephone: Company -owned poles) or work on EWEB facilities is <br />prot)ibi ted. Examples of this prohibited work include, but are <br />not limited to, climbing on EWEB poles, attaching agency- ocaned <br />facilities to EWEB poles, connections or disconnections of EWEB <br />electrical facilities, system relocation or modification invol- <br />ving FWEB facilities, and new construction of street lighting <br />systp-ns .on EWEB poles. .All work. on EWEB facilities including, <br />but not limited to, the All <br />given above, will be performed <br />by VtFEB at your agency's expense. <br />4. t,,ny alteration of existing or installation of new lightin.. <br />systems shall take place only upon mutual agreement between EWE" <br />and the City of Eugene. <br />The following material is enclosed: <br />1.
