F. Change in Pole Ownership
This procedure is intended to cover possible changes in pole ownership
affecting EWEB, Telco and the City of Eugene.
1. If EWEB plans to contact an existing City -owned pole with electric
distribution facilities (other than street light facilities), then:
a. In advance of work, EWEB will send two prints of the construction
drawings and two copies of the street light construction notice to
the City. The drawings and notice will show:
(1) Extension of EWEB electric facilities to the City -owned pole.
(2) EWEB purchase of the City pole for the remaining value. This
amount shall be agreed upon by the City and EWEB.
(3) Any change in the "point -of- delivery" location or the
equipment necessary to maintain service to the existing City
street light. This change shall be made at EWEB's expense.
b. After review, the City will return a signed copy of the
construction notice indicating authorization of the proposed
work. Any revisions required by the City shall be coordinated
between the City street light designer and the Electric
Distribution Area Technician.
2. If EWEB and the City are joint on an EWEB -owned pole (Telco is not
joint) and EWEB plans to remove their equipment, then:
a. In advance of work, EWEB will send two prints of the construction
drawings and two copies of the street light construction notice
to the City. The drawings and notice will show:
(1) Removal of all EWEB - owned electric distribution equipment
from the pole. This removal will be at EWEB's expense.
(2) City purchase of the EWEB pole for the remaining value. This
amount will be agreed upon by the City and EWEB.
(3) Installation of facilities by EWEB to maintain service to the
City street light on the pole. This will be an estimated
cost, shown on the construction notice and later billed to
the City as a flat charge.
b. The City will return a signed copy of the construction notice
indicating their authorization for the proposed work or
requesting removal of their street lighting equipment from the
pole (see procedure for "Installation, Removal and Relocation ").
-29-
AA , r, 07/01/83
