Activities funded b this g rant include invasive species removal on over 40 acres of land, amendin the <br />soil and spreadin native seed on three acres of newl constructed riparian benches, and plantin <br />waterin and maintainin 22,609 native plants on nine acres. The enclosed report describes in detail <br />the work accomplished under the OWEB g rant #209-3007. <br />In the sprin of 2010 the Cit of Eu submitted a proposal to OWEB to conduct additional invasivc <br />species work under the g rant as a result of cost savin experienced in earl implementation of the <br />g rant. The proposal was approved and included three t of invasive species control: <br />1. Additional control of Armenian blackberr Scotch broom, and En iv throu the site. <br />This work included two more rounds of blackberr resprout spot spra in the fall of 2010 and <br />2011, as well as manual removal of Scotch broom, En iv teasel, and tans ra <br />2. Control of y ellow fla iris and purple loosestrife,, two emer species present at Delti-L <br />Ponds that had the potential to spread to the Willamette River if not controlled. Both species <br />were treated b clippin mature plants close to the g round and carefull wipin the cut stem <br />with g l y phosate.
