<br /> 6.2 Where two or more quotes for designated portions of the work have been requested, the <br />quoter may, without forfeiture of the bid security (if required), state his/her refusal to accept <br />an award of less than the combination of the quotes stipulated by the quoter. <br /> <br /> 6.3 The City will check the Construction Contractors Board (CCB) list of vendors not qualified <br />for Public improvement contracts to verify that the lowest quoter is eligible for public <br />improvement contracts. The lowest quoter will also be evaluated to determine if they meet <br />standards of responsibility. A responsibility determination form required by the Construction <br />Contractors Board will be completed by the City and submitted to the CCB within 30 days of <br />award of the contract. <br /> <br /> 6.4 The price offered must be exclusive of any sales, purchaser, or consumer tax. Tax <br />exemption certificates will be furnished upon request. Packing and transportation expenses <br />are the responsibility of the offeror. All prices quoted must be F.O.B. Destination, Freight <br />Prepaid and Allowed, delivered and unloaded at delivery address listed. <br /> <br /> 6.5 Include complete standard warranty information and factory specifications on equipment <br />offered. For the warranty, include the length of time, covered components, repair site (city <br />or contractor site) and availability of parts and service not covered under the warranty. If an <br />extended warranty is available, include the details of the extended warranty. <br /> <br /> <br />7.0 PUBLIC WORKS REQUIRED SUBMITTALS* <br /> 7.1 Bid Security (If Required). The City may require bid security not to exceed ten (10) percent <br />of the base quote (not including separately stated quotes for alternates). Bid security must <br />be submitted before the quote opening date and time. Bid security may be submitted in the <br />form of a surety bond, a cashier’s check, a certified check, or irrevocable, direct-pay letter <br />of credit. By submitting bid security the quoter pledges that the quoter will enter into a <br />contract with the City on the terms stated in the quote, will furnish any performance and <br />payment bonds, and will provide any required proof of insurance. Should the quoter refuse <br />to enter such contract or fail to furnish such bonds and insurance, the amount of the bid <br />security shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages, not as penalty. <br /> <br /> 7.2 Drug Testing Certificate (Attached to quote document). Quoter is required to submit a <br />completed Drug Testing Certificate with their quote. The quoter must state that they have <br />and will maintain during the performance of the contract, an employee drug testing <br />program. <br /> <br /> 7.3 First Tier Subcontractor Disclosure. First Tier Subcontractor Disclosure form must be <br />within two (2) working hours after the advertised bid closing date <br />submitted to the City <br />and time <br />. The City will only accept the First Tier Subcontractor Disclosure form submitted <br />with a bid prior to the due date and time, or delivered to the Purchasing Office within two (2) <br />working hours after the bid closing time and date. <br /> <br /> 7.4 Performance and Payment Bond. The successful quoter, prior to the execution of the <br />contract, shall furnish bonds covering the faithful performance of the contract and the <br />payment of obligations. The bonds shall be in an amount equal to one hundred (100) <br />percent of the contract sum. The quoter shall deliver the required bonds to the City no later <br />than ten (10) days after receiving the award.
