The Science Factory (Lessee). <br />1.008 USE OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS. <br />The use of any lighted smoking instrument or device, or the oral use of tobacco <br />products (i.e., chewing tobacco) is prohibited within all City recreation centers, pools, and all <br />public restrooms. This prohibition shall also apply to areas outside such facilities that are <br />within 25 feet of doors, entries, or pathways thereto. If the primary purpose of the City - <br />owned building is to provide services and programs to children under the age of 18, <br />including but not limited to libraries, pools, sports parks and community centers, this <br />prohibition shall apply to areas outside such buildings that are within 25 feet of doors, <br />entries or pathways thereto or to the area outside of the building extending from the <br />building footprint to th'e curb, including but not limited to driveways, planting strips, <br />sidewalks, pedestrian ways, patios and alleys adjacent to the city -owned building, but not <br />extending into any non -city owned property adjacent to the building or onto the roadway, <br />whichever is greater. <br />As used herein, "smoking instruments or devices" are defined as cigarettes, cigars and pipes. <br />This prohibition shall be incorporated in and made a part of all permits or licenses for use of City <br />park and open space facilities. <br />1.025 FIRES AND FIREWORKS. <br />(1) Fires are prohibited in Spencer Butte Park and the Ridgeline Park System, <br />except prescribed vegetation management fires conducted by City staff or other authorized <br />personnel. <br />(2) Fires in all other park and open space areas shall be confined to: <br />(a) Park camp stoves or fireplaces provided for that purpose. <br />(b) Portable stoves or grills in developed park/picnic areas. Stoves, <br />grills, and other appliances or equipment designed to generate heat shall not be <br />placed on top of picnic tables and must be set at least 25 feet away from picnic <br />shelters or other park structures. <br />(c) Prescribed vegetation management fires, conducted by City staff or <br />other authorized personnel. <br />(3) No fire in a park or open space area may be left unattended; every fire <br />must be extinguished by the user before leaving the park or open space area. <br />Administrative Order — Page 13 of 18 <br />
