This amendment clarifies Park Rule provisions, by <br />amending the following rules: <br />Rule 1.004, Use Permits Amend to provide that those who have applied for a city park permit <br />multiple times for a reoccurring Standard Use Permit event need only submit one application <br />form and fee per month. Add provisions regarding vehicle access to park sidewalks, pathways, <br />irrigated turf, non - irrigated grass, landscaped areas and under tree canopies. Clarify provisions <br />regarding process for permit application decisions. Add provisions requiring security deposits. <br />Rule 1.007, Possession or Consumption of Hard Liquor and Alcoholic Liquor Add areas at <br />which possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. <br />Rule 1.008, Use of Tobacco Products Amend to extend the smoking prohibition area at City - <br />owned park buildings having the primary purpose of providing services and programs to children <br />under the age of 18, as provided by the Eugene Code. <br />Rule 1.025, Fires and Fireworks Amend to prohibit the placement of stoves, grills, and other <br />heat generating sources on top of picnic tables, and within 25 feet of picnic shelters or other park <br />structures. <br />Rule 1.030, Vehicles Clarify the process for obtaining permission to temporarily operate a motor <br />vehicle on a bicycle or foot path. <br />Rule 1.040, Encroachments Amend to provide for encroachments other than pedestrian access <br />encroachment and vehicular access encroachment. Clarify the time period for which limited <br />duration revocable permits are valid. <br />Please sign the Order and return it to me and I will proceed with public notice. Once this amendment is <br />adopted, we will then proceed with adoption of an amendment to the Park and Facility Use Fee Schedule <br />that was adopted by Administrative Order No.58 -93 -14 on June 24, 1993.
