Page 2 of 2 <br />Please be aware that there are two types of work-study, Federal Work-Study and UO Work-Study. Your contract with the <br />University of Oregon covers only Federal Work-Study not UO Work-Study. UO Work-Study cannot be used by off-campus <br />employers. _ <br />Students hired to begin working the first day of summer session (May 19 - law students; June 23 - all other students) will be <br />employed under your current 2007-2008 contract with the university. To continue students' employment past June requires a <br />renewal to your contract to be effective July 1st. Renewing your contract now will assure a "seamless" transition between <br />contract years, eliminating a potential break in employment for your student workers, Students who receive a work-study <br />award beginning fall semester/tenn can begin working one week before the first day of classcs: August 11 - law students; <br />September 22 - all other students. <br />If you have questions about the Federal Work-Study program or the renewal process, please feel free to contact Kyna at 541- <br />346-1173, kmbacon@uoregon.edu or Susan at 541-346-1182, scarver @ljoregon.edu.
