Pagel of 5
AANDERUD Kris
From:
RISDAL Lacey L
Sent:
Tuesday, March 03, 2009 10:12 AM
To:
SMITH Tammy D
Cc:
AANDERUD Kris
Subject: FW: WEWEC
Attachments: CUP Application Fee; AJE62797.pdf
Tammy, I spoke with Johnny again about the WEWC, and I got some direction on how he wants to handle the
couple of projects that are out on the GL re: this project. I can have Kris process the AJE & BJE that he now
wants done, but I wanted to let you know of the direction he gave so you have the background, and because
you've helped me on this project so far....
Basically, he wants all the actuals that are showing in the 324 fund moved to 531, project 965493 (project re:
CUP). All of these actuals are related to getting the CUP complete, and he doesn't want the bond fund paying
for any of this until we have a viable project. This will run a small deficit in this project in the 531 fund for right
now. He and I will discuss how to handle this deficit. Secondly, the budget appropriation that is sitting in the
other WEWC project, 955083, the phase 2 project, should be moved to the first project, 965493 (this will help
cover some of the above deficit). So the phase 2 project 955083 should have no appropriation and no actuals
yet. Third, he wants to change the name of the CUP project 965493 to "Wetland Ed Cntr Phase 1 & CUP."
(Can Kris change the name or do we need Debbie or you to do that for us?)
This will leave the $1.75M of 324 funding will have no actuals against it yet, and a small deficit in 531 for the
CUP costs. We're trying to keep the CUP costs our of the bond fund as a response to the opinion of bond
counsel that the bond can't pay for CUP/consulting costs if we don't own the resulting asset. Let me know if you
have any questions on this, and thanks for your help to-date.
Kris-Thanks for processing the AJE and BJE needed here, and let me know if you have any questions on
these journals,
Lacey
From: SMITH Tammy D
Sent: Monday, January 26, 2009 9:20 AM
To: RISDAL Lacey L
Subject: RE: WEWEC
Lacey,
Here is the information I have found on the CUP charges for the WEWEC. I have verified with Mike Penwell that
the city has paid for all the charges internally, and not to the architects. Attached is my e-mail from Neil on the
CUP schedules and a copy of the journal. It looks like we paid these fees through Fund 531.
I still have a call into Jan C to see if anything else would classify as CUP charges.
Tammy Smith, x5834
3/3/2009
