2005 -2006 City of Eugene Parks /Lane County Youth Services <br />Contract Proposal <br />Services to be Provided: Various park and natural area maintenance projects as <br />identified by the City Parks Maintenance Manager, including selective removal of <br />invasive exotic plant species, trail construction or maintenance, fence construction or <br />maintenance, spreading of mulches, landscape maintenance, debris and litter removal, <br />maintenance of tree rings, walkway edging, cutting and stacking of brush, graffiti <br />removal, and similar or related tasks as required. <br />Time for completion: July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006, renewable for two additional <br />years upon agreement of parties. <br />Consideration: <br />Charge at $7.25/hour for youth <br />($7.25/hr * 8 hours * 3 <br />youth <br />= $174.00) <br />($7.25/hr * 8 hours * 4 <br />youth <br />= $232.00) <br />($7.25/hr * 8 hours * 5 <br />youth <br />= $290.00) <br />($7.25/hr * 8 hours * 6 <br />youth <br />= $348.00) <br />($7.25/hr * 8 hours * 7 <br />youth <br />= $406.00) <br />- Plus the Charge at $26.00/hour for supervisor <br />($26.00/hr * 8 hours = $208.00) <br />- Contract provides for an average daily rate of $498.00 ($208.00 for <br />supervisor + $290.00 for 5 youth) <br />- Daily rate covers all overhead costs including: equipment, maintenance <br />and repairs, van, fuel, insurance costs, benefits, food, telephone, <br />administrative costs and other indirect miscellaneous fees. <br />Crew Size, Work Hours, Scheduling: <br />- Day of work consists of 8 -hour days. <br />- Crew consists of 1 qualified adult supervisor and an average of 5 youth <br />- Average yearly schedule will be 100 days of work (1 supervisor + 5 youth) <br />Inspection, billing, reporting and location of work: Remains the same as current <br />contract. <br />
