Looking Glass and The City of Eugene (the AGENCY) agree to the following: <br />A. LOOKING GLASS SHALL: <br />1. Recruit. and select eligible participants and refer appropri ate participants to the AGENCY] n accordance <br />-with available funds. federal regulations. Equal Employment Opportunity laws, needs of participants, <br />and the AGENCY'S work experience description form. <br />2. Provide timecards or stipend attendance forms and instructions to the AGENCY, and pay participants' <br />wages or stipends based on attendance. <br />3. Provide Workers Compensation Insurance to cover claims by participants for job- related injuries or <br />illness for only those youth who are paid wages. Pursuant to 1989 Oregon Laws Ch. 684, all <br />employees working under this contract are subject employers that will comply with the worker's <br />compensation laws. including ORS 656.017. <br />Youth who are earning school creditor a stipend are not covered by the.Agency s workers compensation <br />coverage. <br />4. Reserve the right to terminate or to reassign participants to other activities in accordance with the <br />participant's program objectives. Reasonable notice of reassignment will be provided to the AGENCY. <br />5. Not guarantee that all job requests will be filled. nor assure employment of reassigned or terminated <br />participants. <br />6. Provide a handbook to the site supervisor outlining additional. timelines, procedures and policies that <br />become part of this agreement. <br />7. Provide guidance to the work site and monitor said site to ensure that all provisions of this agreement <br />and any other agreement entered into by this AGENCY and its participants are honored. Also, require <br />a program orientation to all individuals serving as site supervisors to participants. <br />8. Terminate or negotiate modification of this agreement at any time by written notification to the <br />AGENCY that its federal. state, or locally funded grants are suspended, reduced or terminated before <br />or during the agreement period, or if operating grant terms and /or regulations change significantly. <br />B. THE AGENCY SHALL: <br />1. Provide an appropriate and reasonable work experience for the participants, including the development <br />of good work habits and adequate supervision and training_ <br />
