Thanks so much for offering your help (while Sue is out of town) in working with Max Liebreich's bank to
develop an Assignment of a Certificate of Deposit to satisfy the City of Eugene's requirement for a financial
guarantee for street tree planting in Lenore Estates Subdivision (EC 7.280). After speaking "to Mr. Liebreich on
the phone this afternoon, and at his request, I faxed him copies of a previous, similar set of documents (with all
particulars blacked out). Here is the text of my fax cover sheet:
"Here-are the documents you asked me to fax to you. Your bank may call Twylla Miller, City of Eugene
Finance, at 682 -8417, to make final details to assure City of Eugene can have $18,383.84 available to withdraw
at any time. Call me at 682 -4819 if you have any further questions."
My understanding, after talking to you and Lacey, is that the amount of money deposited will be greater than the
$18,383.84 required to the extent that the required amount can be made available for withdrawal by the City of
Eugene at any time (to account for any early withdrawal penalties). You said you will work with Mr.
Liebreich's bank to ascertain that principal deposit amount.
When the bank has all documents ready, please have them sent to Mike Bellmore for his and my review, so that
we can complete the Street Tree Agreement documents that will allow Mr. Liebreich to secure his final plat and
proceed with construction. Please don't hesitate to call me if you have any questions.
Thanks again for your help!
Mark
M.Ca,Q 5•
Urban Forester
City of Eugene Public Works
Parks and Open Space Division
1820 Roosevelt Boulevard
Eugene, OR 97402
541 - 682 -4819
Fax 541 - 682 -4882
mark. r.snyderAci.eugene.or. us
www.eugene- or.gov
