Formal agreements, if <br />needed, would be minimal since both departments belong to the same agency. <br />2.2.2 Planned ODOT ITS Projects <br />ODOT has limited funding to install CCTV cameras and dynamic message signs (DMSs) in the <br />Eugene - Springfield metropolitan area as listed in Table 4. ODOT plans to install a network switch <br />with Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) uplinks and 10/100 ports at each site where a camera or DMS is being <br />installed. All communications infrastructure will be leased due to funding limitations. All of the leased <br />circuits will be treated as an ITS local area network that specifically services transportation <br />operations. The City may wish to partner with ODOT to share new fiber optic cable on future projects <br />since both agencies have shared interest in cameras and communications on ODOT facilities within <br />the City and the City has many key corridors that intersect with Beltline Highway. <br />Table 4.
