Diversity Speaker Contract: 2008 - 00329 Exhibit B - Scope of Work Services to be provided: Contractor shall provide training for the City of Eugene Public Works Diversity Committee and the American Public Works Association in compliance with the following: Contractor shall present two - two hour trainings, and one one-hour break-out session on the topic of homelessness - the impact on the homeless and public works departments and what we can do. In addition, the contractor shall present a 30-minute motivational keynote presentation to inspire leaders on what they can do that will make a difference in their Coln III Lill iti es. 2. The two-hour trainings will be held on April 16, 2008 at City of Eugene training rooms. The one-hour breakout session (50 minutes with 10 minutes for questions and answers) and keynote address will be held on April 17, 2008 at the Valley River Inn in Eugene, OR. Contractor shall provide all materials necessary to conduct the training. 4. The American Public Works Association conference is scheduled at the Valley River hill in Eugene, Oregon for April 16 and 17, 2008, and includes meals as a part of the conference sessions. Contractor will be provided with an eight-foot table on or near appearance site to sell and display photos, tapes, books, etc. Contractor will use this table as a place to sign autographs. 6. Contractor shall be paid a total of $4,400, including speaking fees of 54,000 and travel and meal expenses of $400. An advance of S2,200 will be mailed to Contractor by March 3, 2008, by the Oregon Chapter APWA Conference Committee. The balance of 52,200 shall be paid by April 30, 2008, by the City of Eugene. Contractor shall submit separate invoices for the advance and final payment. In the event Contractor cannot perform work on the dates outlined above, Contractor shall notify the City 30 days prior to the scheduled trainings and reschedule for a mutually agreed upon time within the next 30 days. The speaking engagement and training session for the American Public Works Association cannot be rescheduled. If Contractor is unable to appear, Contractor will help secure another comparable speaker and shall refund the payment of $2,200.
