The following items of Work will be constructed in the following order: <br />1. Manhole adjustments <br />2. Permanent striping <br />3. Traffic loop detectors <br />00180.41 Project Work Schedules <br />(ADD) A Type A schedule as detailed in the specifications is required on this Contract. <br />00180.50 Contract Time to Complete Work <br />(c) Beginning of Contract Time <br />(REPLACE) "the fifteenth Calendar Day following the date of the Notice to Proceed" with "the <br />date on which on-site work begins" <br />(h) Contract Time <br />(ADD) Thirty (30) consecutive Calendar days will be allowed for project 4435 and thirty <br />(30) consecutive Calendar days will be allowed for project 4637. Either project <br />can be done first, but it must be substantially complete prior to beginning the <br />second project. <br />Work shall not begin prior to July 6, 2010. Work shall be completed by <br />September 24, 2010. Based on inspection resources, the City may allow an <br />earlier start date. <br />No weekend or holiday Work will be allowed unless otherwise specified in these <br />Special Provisions. <br />00180.85 Failure to Complete on Time: Liquidated Damages <br />(b) Liquidated Damages <br />(ADD) When cold planed surfaces within the traveled way are not paved within the time <br />period after cold plane operations identified in the Standard Specifications in <br />Subsection 00620.43, "Maintenance Under Traffic", or these Special Provisions, <br />liquidated damages, in the amount of $1,000.00, shall be assessed for each <br />Work day in excess of the specified time period. Liquidated damages assessed <br />for failure to pave cold planed surfaces within the traveled way after cold planing <br />within the specified time period shall be in addition to liquidated damages <br />assessed for failure to complete the contract on time. <br />Liquidated damages in the'amount of $1,000.00 per Work day will be assessed <br />for each Work day beyond the Contract Time or the completion date, whichever <br />comes first, that the work is not complete. In addition, liquidated damages in the <br />amount of $1,000.00 per Work day will be assessed for each Work day in excess <br />of the timeframe limitations for construction operations as defined in subsection <br />00180.40, "Limitation of Operations", of these Special.
