While I was <br />there for the entire meeting, I have only summarized those agenda items that I think are of interest to the city - <br />like the process and program criteria for the new Urban Trails Fund. I have attached certain documents (I <br />have noted these in the summary) as well as the agenda - so if you have any questions about any of the other <br />items, please let me know. <br />TUESDAY, APRIL 20 <br />Renaming of the Beltline <br />The OTC voted unanimously to change the name of the Beltine to the "Randy Pape Beltline" - they intend on <br />changing just 2 signs now (one on each end) and then will change the rest as needed over time. <br />A dozen people showed up and testified in opposition and 1 person testified in support (although he had a stack <br />of letters from other supporters). <br />WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21 <br />Agenda Item E - Federal Surface Transportation Program (STP) funds for Non-Highway Projects <br />The OTC approved a list of 19 public transit and bicycle/pedestrian projects totaling $1.8 million to receive STP <br />funds. (See Attached list). The OTC also amended the 2008-2011 Statewide Transportation Improvement <br />Program to ass STP funds for the Preliminary Engineering and Right-Of-Way phases of these projects. <br />The City of Eugene's Fern Ridge Path and the North Bank Path are included in the projects that will be funded. <br />The City's West bank Path project is on a waiting list of 5 projects. ODOT has listed this project as the # 1 <br />waiting list project. If a project on the funded list does not require all of the funds requested or for some reason <br />cannot begin work in a timely fashion, the West bank Path project will be next for funding. <br />Agenda Item F - Transportation Enhancement (TE) Program <br />
