#4694 - Brookside Dr. 3/19/10
Storm and Slide repair
v
Q
i
` ROOK SIDE D
,
Storm outfall
Failure
Recent Slope 7~G<eeK- J~arWe
Failure Steep
® Will look at TV reports
for similar issues r
-
-wo S~pF
R
MONTARA WAY
,
t
! ~ i J
Q
i
:
J t
r
v
TOU
rj
,
Small soil slope failure which occurred this winter at the storm outlet (#67181) below Montara Way (private street)
& within the Townhouses Association PUD. The soil mass failure is approx 10'x 30'x 5' deep and dislodged
a portion of the 12" dia concrete SD. Soils adjacent to the slump is saturated & more soil movement is possible.
A large bolder slide in front of the SD pipe blocking the outlet and creating a surcharged line condition.
A review of collection system in the area shows the pipe in generally in good structural condition, however joint
slippage is evident. Numerous opened several joints are visible along with voids outside the pipe
(LS 65556-65555-67181).
The SD pipe is a non-bell type without gaskets, with a tongue length of only a couple of inches.
Despite pipe anchors (MF#2500.010) pipe joints has occurred presumably allowing infiltration/exfiltration.
This system was constructed in 1976. N
Caution:
This map is based on imprecise
source data, subject to change,
and for general reference only.
Ft
