i I
E s i
SAKES Jeanne M
From: R~YER Russ C
Sent: Thursday, November ~ 9, 2049 8:.53 AM To: KEPPLER Peggy A; SAKES Jeanne M
Subject: RE: Metro VAIN Study Land Values -Cedar Creek
Good marring. Yes, I think the $4,044 seems reasonable for the work proposed. We should be able to charge using the
psf .rates and I think t.CQG can add a not to exceed $4,400 and we will just keep that in mind as to how much time we
will spend on ~t. i had talked with Terry about this a couple weeks ago and it seems we concurred ~t was best t4 use this other allotted funding source as ~t ~s coming from the other
federal funding budget. Terry's time ~s charged to a city
stormwater tannin account which the intent is it eventual) will be used to count as a cit match towards a future
p g Y y project.. Ifwe were to go over the allotted ICDG contract amount it seems the city's stormwater acquisition fund ewe
have a gjn for} would be appropriate, which is what I would use if these other federal funds were not available.

Maybe we can just obtain a billing number or gjn similar to what we are doing with Coburg and Cottage Grove. We can
do .whatever seems to work best for the accounting. Thanks. If you don't use this method, then the IGA has to define what you will dv and I will need to knovu how many
3 1 hours of work it will take to complete the work. Is $4400 reasonable for the work? What code does Terry Calvin use
when he works on the Metro WW study? Peggy .3
From: ROYER Russ C
Sent: Wednesday, November 18, 2009 x:52 PM
To: 4AKES Jeanne M; KEPPLER Peggy A
Subject: FW: Metro WW Study Land Values -Cedar Creek
We are lain some relimina bud et estimates for ossible future metro waterwa s ro'ects. It is bein mans ed b g p rY g p Y p 1 g g Y ICQG and they have $4,444 of consulting fees available,
which shau~d be approximately what our time and charges
would be. This would be for time for Floyd, Vickie, andJar me. A few questions arose bbaut how to best charge fore
these, I think it was concluded an IGA would be preferable. There was a question of who is authorised to sign an behalf
~of the city. It is only $4,040, but it is with another governmental agency. pnce upon a time we used to have CM sign
governmental agreements. Can Kurt sign or does it need to be CM? I see Kurt signed for the lGA with Coburg, so I am
guessing that will be fine.
Any ideas on how we should account far it on our timecards ~-would we receive aspecial acc0untnumber -also similar
to Coburg and Cottage Grave? Is there a way we can do that but, charge LCOG one flat fee? Qtherwise perhaps we can
track our time and hold it to the $4,004 based on our psf rates. Qr if anyone has a better thought. Thanks.
