This project complements the work that will be done with the MPO Transportation Modeling work <br /> program while extending the utility of the system to the greater Lane County area. <br /> Lead Agency: Lane Council of Governments <br /> Partner Agencies: ODOT, City of Eugene, City of Springfield, Lane County, LTD <br /> Estimated Completion: 2011/2012 <br /> TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM PLANS <br /> City o f Eugene TSP Update <br /> The City of Eugene has initiated an update of their state-required Transportation System Plan. <br /> Specific tasks anticipated to occur in the next two years include the following: <br /> ¦ Report on implementation pursuant to TSP/RTSP Performance Measures; <br /> ¦ Review of the mixed use center strategy and a regional review of mixed use centers <br /> (nodal development) as means of reducing vehicle miles traveled. Oregon <br /> .Transportation Growth Management grant funding has been requested to adjust <br /> TSP/RTSP performance measures in response to the studyfindings. <br /> ¦ Conducting the Eugene Comprehensive Lands Assessment as required by Oregon HB <br /> 3337, an assessment of the supply and 20-year demand for.buildable lands. This study is <br /> a necessary component of future comprehensive plan updates; and <br /> ¦ Completing a Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan Update. <br /> Lead Agency: City of Eugene <br /> Partner Agencies: ODOT, Lane County. <br /> ,LTD, and LCOG <br /> Current Status: Scoping and Project Initiation <br /> Estimated Completion: 2013 <br /> City of Springfield TSP <br /> The City of Springfield is beginning the process of developing a Transportation System Plan <br /> (TSP) in conjunction with the update of the Regional Transportation System Plan in order to <br /> meet the requirements of the state Transportation Planning Rule. This update is intended to <br /> serve as a blueprint to guide future multi-modal transportation system improvements and <br /> investment decisions for the City of Springfield. Development of the TSP will be coordinated <br /> with and will support the concurrent city-wide buildable lands analysis application of new <br /> residential efficiency measures and economic development strategies, and adoption of a new <br /> urban growth boundary based on a 2010-2030 planning horizon. <br /> This project includes an inventory and general assessment of the existing transportation system; <br /> a determination of existing and future needs; a road plan; a public transportation plan; a <br /> bicycle/pedestrian plan; a parking plan; a transportation system management and demand <br /> management plan; an air, rail, water, and pipeline plan; and a financing and implementation plan. <br /> Lead Agency: City of Springfield <br /> Partner Agencies: DLCD, City of Eugene, ODOT, Lane County, LTD, and LCOG <br /> Current Status: Scoping and Project Initiation <br /> Estimated Completion: Winter 2010 <br /> Central Lane MPO Unified Planning Work Program FY 2010 and 2011 <br /> <br />
