Also, to improve transit service <br /> ....and to increase internal transit management efficiency, including the provision of <br /> services for senior and disabled populations. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> Transportation System Management (TSM) and TDM/TO activities assume an_ <br /> increasingly important role in the planning process. LCOG responsibilities <br /> include evaluating transit and other TSM and'TDM/TO-type policies and actions <br /> in the RTP, and assisting LTD with transit studies and other local jurisdictions <br /> with traffic and other system management studies. LTD retains primary <br /> responsibility for transit-related TSM activities, including management analysis, <br /> transit maintenance planning and service planning as part of the short-range . <br /> transportation planning element. Commuter Solutions, which has become <br /> - Point-2-Point Solutions through a new branding campaign, manages the <br /> operational component of the region's TDM/TO program. Their work elements <br /> are described following the discussion of LCOG's work elements later in this <br /> section. <br /> ACTION ITEMS (LCOG) <br /> 1. Point-2-Point Solutions Program Enhancements <br /> Tasks <br /> ¦ Participate as partner in developing and implementing identified Point-2- <br /> Point Solutions program enhancements, such as the comprehensive <br /> validations process for updating commuter records and measuring VMT <br /> reduction; vanpool funding strategies; outreach. to youth organizations; <br /> and TGM pilot studies. <br /> 2.
