Due to the collaborative nature of metropolitan <br /> transportation planning and the availability of unsecured funding from a variety of other <br /> program sources, potential exists to accomplish additional work activities. An amendment to <br /> the UPWP will occur should additional funding become available. <br /> <br /> L Additional funding sources, beyond those set out in the UPWP work program, may also. <br /> become available during the fiscal year for work on special projects. Funding. <br /> ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF FISCAL YEAR 2008-2009 <br /> Planning Accomplishments <br /> During the past year, the MPO accomplished the following significant transportation planning <br /> activities: <br /> • Approved $4.66 million in projects funded by Surface Transportation Program -Urban <br /> (STP-U) funds for years FFY08 and FFY09. Approximately $2.8 million per year in these. <br /> federal funds is available for programming for a wide range of regional priorities. <br /> • Distributed the Citizens Guide to Transportation released in early 2008. The guide is a <br /> friendly, colorful, easy to use introduction to regional transportation planning. <br /> • 'Reviewed and made recommendations regarding ODOT's proposed reductions to <br /> FY08-I I State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) Modernization funding. <br /> • Approved draft Recommendation for MPO Modernizationprioritiesforthe FYIO-I3 <br /> STIP: the Beltline Road, I-5 at Coburg, and I-5 at Beltline Phase IL <br /> • Approved STIP Modernization funding priorities for 2010-2015. <br /> • Approved a coordinated funding effort to improve public information and outreach by <br /> `televising and vvebcasting MPC meetings. <br /> • .Approved an Intergovernmental Agreement between ODOT, the MPO and LTD <br /> relating to Transportation Planning. <br /> • ' Responded to Oregon Transportation Commission request for MPO priorities for <br /> reauthorization project funding, indicating seven project priorities including I-5 at <br /> Beltline ($35 M), Gateway/Beltline 15 M), 1=5 at Coburg Road 19.5 M), Beltline from <br /> -'River Road to Coburg ($20 M), Franklin Boulevard--Ferry Street Bridge to Springfield <br /> Bridge including fmX improvements ($2'S M), Eugene/Springfield Highway 126 at Main St <br /> ($50 M), and W. l I~' Avenue: Terry Street to Greenhill ($20 M). <br /> Central Lane MPO Unified Planning Work Program FY 2010 and 2011 <br /> <br />
