BACKGROUND AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> i <br /> The purpose of this Scope of Work (SOW) is to help the City of Eugene ("Agency") satisfy the <br /> requirements of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Section 4(f) of the <br /> ~ Department of Transportation Act, Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) 358.640, 358.920, 358.653, <br /> 390.235 and the Archaeological Resources Protection Act. This work must be conducted by an <br /> Archaeologist who meets the Secretary of Interior's Professional Qualification Standards of 36 <br /> CFR Part 61 Appendix A in the field of Archaeology.
