Examination of Work Site and Solicitation Documents; Consideration of <br /> Conditions to be Encountered <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> (ADD) Inquiries regarding the plans, specifications, and contract documents shall be <br /> . made to Doug Singer - (541) 682-8460. <br /> 00150.15 Construction Stakes, Lines and Grades <br /> (ADD) The Engineer will locate all. monuments in the field within .the. work area. The <br /> contractor shall be responsible to mask monuments to protect them prior to slurry <br /> seal application and. responsible to unmask the monuments after slurry seal <br /> Monuments covered with slurry seal or damaged that were located in the field by <br /> the Engineer shall be uncovered and cleaned or replaced by the Contractor at <br /> the Contractor's expense. <br /> 00180.40. .Limitation of Operations <br /> (ADD) The Contractor shall complete the Stage designated on each plan in one work <br /> day. The Contractor may combine and complete stages from different areas in <br /> one work day. The Contractor shall not combine two or more stages in the same. <br /> area in one work day. <br /> 00180.41 Project Work Schedules <br /> (ADD) The daily work schedule shall specify the calendar day each project Area and <br /> Stage will be completed. <br /> 00180.50 Contract Time to Complete Work <br /> (ADD) Crack seal work shall be complete in twenty (20) work days. Slurry seal and. <br /> striping work shall be completed in twenty (20) workdays and shall be completed <br /> no later than August 24, 2009. Street sweeping shall not begin until fourteen (14) <br /> calendar days after slurry seal application is completed. All work including clean <br /> up shall be completed by September 18, 2009. <br /> 00180.85 Failure to Complete in Time; Liquidated Damages. <br /> (b) Liquidated Damages <br /> (ADD) The liquidated damages for failure to complete any portion of the Work on time in <br /> ' ~ accordance with 00180.50 are $300.00 per Work Day. <br /> 00220.03(c) Work Zone Notifications -Public Notice ~ . <br /> (ADD) Special written notices shall be door hangers specifying the calendar dates and <br /> ..approximate times of street closures..
