The following is our <br /> understanding of the scope of work for the barrier that City requires at this time. <br /> Project Understanding <br /> The City has recently bid the "Eugene Airport Rehab North Ramp at South Kilo" project, which <br /> paves an area that previously was not subject to aircraft loading. Within this area are three <br /> existing electrical utility vaults that require covers load-rated for aircraft. The plans currently <br /> show a schematic vault cover design, and Addendum No. 2 states that the City will provide the <br /> Contractor with engineered drawings of the vault covers to be constructed. <br /> The design loading for the covers is a Boeing 777, and the City has provided landing gear <br /> wheel arrangement, spacing, and loading for that aircraft. <br /> Scope of Work <br /> OBEC proposes to design and prepare the vault cover drawing (one drawing estimated) in <br /> general conformance with the City's preliminary design. The cover will also include an integral <br /> reinforced concrete ring slab approximately 3 feet wide to lower overall bearing pressure <br /> under the cover and bottom of existing vaults to 1,500 psf.
