~- Q ~ ~ Attachment #4 of Exhibit A
~ Administrative Order No. 58-96-06
- ~
2.2.3 Large Volume Users with wastewater discharge greater than 100,000
gallons per day
For existing development with measured or proposed to#al flow greater than
100,000 gallons of water discharged per day, the regional wastewater charge is
equal to the total amount of water being discharged per day (Total Flow), divided
by the presumed .continuous EDU flow estimate, multiplied by the rate for one
EDU. The presumed continuous EDU flow estimate (average gallons per day)
represents the assumed daily flow of a typical EDU, if continuous consumption
were to occur over a 24 hour period. The presumed continuous flow measurement
is estimated at 600 gallons per day. The SOC charge will be based on the greater
of calculations using either the City methodologies or the current MWMC
Equalization Fee charge as directed by the MWMC Commission-approved
methodology applicable to proposed new development.
2.3 Administrative Charge
A further adjustment to the base equalization charge is the addition of administrative
costs. MWMC will incur staff costs for the updating and processing of the charge. These
costs would be applied on a per connection basis. The administrative cost per permit is
calculated, based on estimated administrative costs and future connections. Calculation
~- of the Regional Facility Equalization Charge is illustrated in Figure 6.
~-
July 01, 1996 Methodologies: City of Eugene Page D-fi.2
