In short, the proposed SDC is intended to recover the. full costs of the use of the capacity of the,
regional system by new development. The SDC methodology forwarded by the 1Vletropolitau
Wastewater Management Commission td the Cities of Eugene and Springfield for adoption does
make major changes in the way those costs are recovered. ,I have enclosed a copy of the agenda
item on the proposed SDC from the April meeting of the Metropolitan Wastewater :Management
Commission, and a copy of a public information sheet developed J ointly by the two Cities that
provides some very summary information on the proposed. SDC and the adoption process.
'Please give me a call at 682-5257 if you would like additional information on the proposed
met~iodology.
Sincerely,
Glen Svendsen
Acting Deputy Director
enclosures
cc: Vicki Elmer,. City Manager
.Les Lyle, City Engineer
..
