Permit fees, in the amounts set by the City Manager, shall be charged for ali permits <br />issued for work within the public way unless otherwise noted herein. The amount of the <br />_ .' fee shah be sufficient to recover the City's cos#s related to processing the permit and <br />inspection activities during and after the work. EC 7.300 <br />2.A.1 Aaaroval and Issuance of Permit <br />Upon completion of review and determination that the proposed work is appropriate, the <br />City Engineer or designee shall approve the permit application. After approval, and upon <br />receipt of the required fee, deposit, performance bond, and proof of contractor's license <br />and bond, the permit shall be issued. EC 7.295(4) <br />2.A.2 Notification Required by the City <br />Thepermittee shall notify the City Utility Inspector at least two (2) business days prior to <br />commencement of work within the public way. "Business day" means any 24-hour day <br />other than a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday. <br />Placement of the notification through use of the Oregon Utility Notification Center will be <br />acceptable if the notice is for the actual commencement of work, not a notification <br />requesting design information, and includes the proposed work location, type of proposed <br />work, starting date, time, and the permittee's contact person's name and phone number. <br />2.B ANNUAL PERMITS FOR MINOR RECURRING ACTIVITIES <br />Franchised utilities, EWEB, and City-licensed facility operators have the option of request- <br />ing an annual "blanket" facilities permit for individual service line installations, minor <br />repairs to existing #acilities, routine main#enance functions and similar recurring activities. <br />The written request for an annual permit shall be made to the Maintenance Planning <br />Manager and shall contain the following information and stipulations: <br />Agreement that 2-business-day advance notice for all work to be performed in the <br />public way shall be placed #hrough use of the Oregon Utility Notification Center. <br />2. Identification of the types of activities and scope of work (length and diameter sizes <br />of service lines, etc.) requested to be allowed under the annual permit. <br />3. A weekly report of all right-of-way cuts will be submitted, in an agreed-upon format, <br />of each service installation or repair performed by the permittee's staff or by <br />contractors working for the permittee. <br />4.
