Damage to Public Trees - When a street tree or tree on City-controlled property
is damaged, the Utility Inspector must be notified and the City's Urban Forester
consulted. The City may require an assessment of tree damage and future health
by a certified arborist. If a damaged tree must be removed due to the severity of
damage or creation of a hazardous condition, a tree removal .permit must be
j obtained and the tree removed at the expense of the permittee and subject to the
conditions imposed upon the tree removal permit. Tree removal permit conditions
typically include a requirement to replace the removed tree with a tree of similar
value or to pay the City the value of the tree removed. EC 6.305(3)
I
..
~-
Utility & R/V11 Permit Policy
__
27 02/09/98
__
