EC 7.445(1) <br />2.C.1 Application <br />Application to use the public way under. a revocable permit may be made to the staff of the <br />City Engineer at the Permit and Information Center at 99 West 10th Avenue. <br />2.C.2 Plans and Drawings - - <br />Due to the large variety of .uses for revocable permits, the plans and drawings to be <br />required for a permit will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. Contact the staff of the <br />City Engineer for specific requirements. <br />2.C.3 Review <br />Engineering Division personnel have the responsibility of entering the permit information <br />into a permit tracking system, routing the applications to the various reviewing divisions, <br />and then issuing the permit. If a right-of-way cut permit is required in addition to the <br />revocable permit, the right-of-way cut permit must be reviewed and approved by the Utility <br />Inspector prior to the issuance of the revocable permit. <br />The amount of time needed by the City of Eugene to review a revocable permit varies <br />greatly depending upon the complexity of the individual permit situation. <br />A copy of al:l permits granted shall be forwarded to the Utility Inspector in Maintenance <br />Planning to allow inspection of the right-of--way restoration and temporary traffic control <br />measures used. <br />2.D STREET AND RIGHT-OF-WAY USE PERMITS <br />2.D.1 Application <br />For EWEB, franchised utilities, and licensees, application to perform excavations within the <br />public way may be made to the Engineering Division at 858 Pearl Street. A11 other right-of- <br />way use and cut permits are issued through Engineering staff at the Permit and Information <br />Center at 99 W 10th Avenue. Applications shall be made on a standard form provided by <br />the City. All relevant portions of application form and standard attachments must be <br />completed prior to submittal to the City. Incomplete applications will not be processed and <br />will be returned to applicant. <br />Application for aright-of-way cut permit must be made by a representative of the owner or <br />operator of the facility being installed or upon which maintenance is b~;ing performed. <br />Persons or companies working under contract to the facility owner or operator are not <br />considered representatives of the facility owner and as such will not be allowed to apply <br />for or be granted a right-of-way cut permit. <br />Utility & R/W Permit Policy 9 02/09/98 <br />__ <br />
