NOTICE OF INTENDED RULEMAKING <br />,,_ <br />PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF AIRPORT RULE 4.8, AND <br />OF EXHIBIT 2 TO THE AIRPORT RULES AS ADOPTED <br />BY ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER 58-95-01. <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the authority contained in Sections <br />2.019 and 2.430 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Manager of the City of Eugene, intends to <br />amend Airport Rule 4.8 and Exhibit 2 to the Airport Rules to: <br />Include within the offensive conduct prohibitions any conduct that interferes with <br />the use of the Airport facilities by others, interferes with or hinders Airport staff in the <br />performance of their duties, or is inconsistent with the purpose and intent of the Airport; <br />and revise the designated speech areas within the terminal building lobby and sidewalks <br />adjacent thereto. <br />Adoption of the proposed amendments is necessary in order to ensure the peaceful use of <br />the Airport facilities by members of the public, facilitate employees in the performance of their <br />duties, and avoid conflicts with design changes within the terminal building lobby. The <br />proposed amendments to the Rule may be reviewed at the office of the Airport Manager, 28855 <br />Lockheed Drive, Eugene, Oregon 97402 during normal business hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., <br />Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays). <br />All persons wishing to comment thereon or object thereto must submit their comments or <br />objections to the Airport Manager, .28855 Lockheed Drive, ;Eugene, Oregon 97402, in writing, <br />within fifteen (15) days of the date of the first publication hereof, as indicated below. The City <br />Manager will thereafter adopt the amendments to the Administrative Rule as proposed, or as <br />amended in response to comments received. <br />JAMES R.
