RIVER ROAD RESIDENTS' VIEWS OF ANNEXATION <br />IN~''RODUCTION <br />This is a report on annexation attitudes and issues in the River Road area of <br />Eugene, Oregon. <br />The study was conducted for the City of Eugene by Bardsley and Neidhart, <br />Inc., an independent and impartial research organization with headquarters <br />in Portland, Oregon. <br />Obiectives <br />Overall objective of the project was to provide information to develop a <br />public information program on the benefits of annexation to the City of <br />Eugene. More specifically, the project was mounted to: <br />• Tap attitudes of River Road voters toward annexation; <br />• Test the potential effectiveness of themes and channels for <br />communication purposes; <br />• Prioritize the importance of urban services to River Road residents; <br />• Evaluate measures which would foster trust between River Road <br />residents and the City of Eugene; and <br />• Identify and quantify factors which influence voter views toward <br />annexation. <br />t <br />__ _ __ <br />._ <br />
