Project and Program Areas
Introduction
This section is divided into five project and program areas covering the range of City capital
improvement projects: .
• Airport
• Building and Park. Facilities
• Stormwater
• Transportation
• Wastewater
Each area includes a general narrative of the key elements as well as overall needs and funding
issues, a map and list of major projects, a list of the specific projects and related funding detail
for Fiscal Years 2002 and 2003, and a list of projects and programs that define the overall
six-year CIP (Fiscal Years 2002-2007).
The map for each program area shows the following two types of projects (if applicable):
- Site-specific CIP projects shown in funding tables for 2002-2007, with a project
estimate of $50,000 or more
- Site-specific major CIP projects previously funded, but not yet constructed. These
;projects are shown for information purposes only, since they are already funded and
under way.
Projects of less than $50,000 and projects that cannot be shown as a single location are not
included on the map.
Each Table of Funded Projects is followed by descriptions of the individual projects. Each
project description contains aPlan/Policy Document list which provides the project
justification and/or origin. The list includes relevant policies, goals and other supportive
documents. Projects in each of the Six-Year Funded Programs have relatively secure funding
sources (or have a high probability of being funded).
Information pertaining to total fund amounts and specific funding sources for Fiscal Years 2002
and 2003 of the CIP is located in the Two Year Fund Summary (see Pages 66-67).
City of Eugene 2002-2007 Capital Improvement Program
Page 10
