I a <br /> On February 24, 2003 the City Council approved the following motion: <br /> Councilor Pape, seconded by Councilor Nathanson, moved to adopt the FY04-09 Capital <br /> Improvement Program with the amendments described in attachments A (Planning <br /> Commission recommendation) and B (Budget Committee Recommendation) of the <br /> materials. <br /> Councilor Kelly, seconded by Councilor Pape, moved to amend the motion by revising <br /> the amounts in the line item in Attachment B regarding the Americans With Disabilities <br /> Act (ADA) renovations to the amounts proposed to the Budget Committee on 1/21 in <br /> FY04 from $104,500 to $190,000 and in FY05 from $110,500 to $196,000, with the <br /> expectation that the reduction would be a topic of discussion by the Human Rights <br /> Commission before the budget process. ~ <br /> The amendment passed unanimously. <br /> The main motion, as amended, passed 7:1 <br /> Staff Recommended Changes to Projects: <br /> <br /> ~ Staff recommended the following changes to the Draft CIP. With the exception of the proposed <br /> <br /> i $85,500 cut to the ADA Renovations project, Council accepted the staff recommended changes. <br /> Additional discussion and allocation of the Budget Committee's recommendation of the <br /> additional $85,500 cut to the Public Buildings and Facilities is expected to occur during the <br /> FY04 Capital Budget discussion. <br /> 1. Modify the funding classification and amounts of the Traffic Calming, Residential Street <br /> Lighting, Street Trees, and Sidewalk Access Ramps Transportation Projects from unfunded <br /> to funded in the amount of $30,000 for each category per year. Decrease the funding in the <br /> Street and Alley preservation project by a like amount. ' <br /> 2. Modify the funding source of the Parks and Open Space Site Renovations and Rehabilitation <br /> Project from Wastewater SDC and Stormwater SDC to the Wastewater Utility Capital Fund <br /> and Stormwater Utility Capital Fund, respectively. <br /> ~ <br /> City of Eugene 2004 - 2009 Capital Improvement Program ~ <br /> Page 16 <br /> <br />
