Connect existing signals to the Ciry traffic control system to upgrade <br />operations and enhance maintenance activities. <br />Plan/Policy Document: TransPlan Policy <br />Total Project Cost: $260,000 <br />U~rades and Capacity Enhancement <br />11th Avenue (Danebo -Terry) Upgrade to a 3-5 lane urban facility, including bike lanes and sidewalks. May include <br />traffic signal at Terry Street. <br />Plan/Policy Document: TransPlan <br />Total Project Cost: $1,438,000 <br />Barger Drive (Terry -Greenhill) Upgrade to a 2-3 lane urban facility, including bike lanes and sidewalks. Project is <br />related to Bethel School District's planned construction of a new school. <br />Plan/Policy Document: TransPlan, Bethel-Danebo Refinement Plan <br />Total Project Cost: $1,220,000 <br />Emergency Vehicle Preemption System Purchase and install an emergency vehicle preemption system to reduce emergency <br />response times. The system allows emergency vehicles to activate green lights to <br />provide for quicker and safer passage through signaled intersections. Future <br />capabilities could include bus preemption along major transit routes. EMS funds <br />dedicated to this project may be used to leverage potential Federal safety funds. This <br />project was begun in FY94 with phased enhancements scheduled through FY99. <br />Plan/Policy Document: fire Redeployment Plan, TransPlan Policy <br />Total Project Cost: $400,000 <br />Garden Way (Sisters View -Centennial) Upgrade the existing asphalt mat facility to a 2-3 lane urban road facility, including <br />curbs/gutters, sidewalks and bike lanes. New development is occurring or projected to <br />occur, necessitating this infrastructure to support the various modes of transportation. <br />This roadway is classified as a minor arterial. <br />Plan/Policy Document: TransPlan, Willakenzie Refinement Plan <br />Total Project Cost: $1,530,000 <br />Local Street Assessment Subsidy* Low income assessment subsidy program for unimproved local streets which are being <br />petitioned for improvement to City standards.
