SBxvicss <br />Page 65 <br />PLANT WASTEWATER <br />The laboratory provides all the analytical monitor- <br />ing required for the National Pollution Dischazge <br />Elimination System (NPDES) permit, as well as <br />any additional testing requested by the operations <br />staff. The permit is issued by the Department of <br />Environmental Quality pursuant to ORS 468.740 <br />and the Federal Clean Water Act. Each day, 24- <br />hourcompositesamples azecollectedatfourpoints: <br />pretreatment (immediately following the <br />comminutors), primary effluent, secondary efflu- <br />ent, and final effluent.
