RADIO MAINTENANCE: <br />• Processes 110 radio repair orders a month <br />• Installs 5 new radios a month <br />• Maintains 911 center for Department of Public Safety <br />• 5 FTE are assigned to this work unit <br />SUB-SURFACE OPERATIONS SECTION: <br />Sub-Surface Operations includes three work units for maintaining, enforcing, administering and <br />providing the technical support to the stormwater and wastewater infrastructure systems. They <br />are as follows: <br />STORMWATER MAINTENANCE <br />• Sweeps and flushes all curbed streets <br />• Sweeps and flushes alleys, bike paths, and airport surfaces <br />• Removes hazardous objects and dead animals from streets and alleys <br />• Controls vegetation along bike paths <br />• Performs winter road sanding, snow removal, and cleanup <br />• Rodent control for City storm and sewer service lines. <br />• Inspects and removes graffiti <br />• Performs catch basin and storm line cleaning <br />• Maintains 196 miles of enclosed storm sewer systems <br />• 11 FTE are assigned to this work unit <br />WASTEWATER MAINTENANCE <br />• Maintains over 600 miles of sanitary sewer lines <br />• Repairs sewer segments, manholes, clean outs, and sewer service connections <br />• Assists with environmental cleanup and WWTP emergency activities <br />• Monitors, assesses, inspects, and abates sanitary sewer inflow and infiltration <br />• Interfaces with private contractors to assure all sanitary sewer connections completed by <br />Maintenance staff <br />• 19 FTE are assigned to this work unit <br />SUB-SURFACE TECHNICAL TEAM <br />^ Enforces and inspects sewer connections <br />^ Coordinates sewer inflow and infiltration investigation and correction programs <br />` ' Coordinates improper stormwater discharge investigation and correction programs <br />^ Smoke and dye tests sewer lines to identify and eliminate cross connections <br />^ TV inspection of sewer lines to assess conditions and for warranty <br />;' <br />I ! Performs flow monitoring of sanitary sewer lines <br />^ Smoke and dye tests sewer lines to identify and eliminate cross connections <br />~! Coordinates "spill" response <br />11 FTE are assigned to this work unit <br />SURFACE OPERATIONS SECTION: <br />Surface Operations includes three work units for maintaining, enforcing, administering and <br />providing the technical support to the street surfaces infrastructure systems.
