If the facility were cited in <br />Eugene, no lawyers would need to travel there from <br />Springfield. The city's own information shows that <br />locating the new federal courthouse in Springfield <br />would require lawyers to travel a greater distance to <br />go to court, which suggests that the existing "social <br />infrastructure" favors the Eugene site alternative. <br />
