` XI -FACILITY NEEDS
CURRENT AND FUTURE NEEDS
Following is a list outlining current and future needs addressed in the 20 year Master Plan.
The projects are presented in related groups separated by horizontal lines. Some projects
within the groups must be phased in a particular order. For example, Buildings #4 an #5 must
be removed before Building #6 is expanded.
FACILITY NEEDS
Remove Buildings #4 and #5
• #4 had Facility Condition Index (FCI) of 1.05 in 2001 Study (means repairs would cost 105% of
replacement)
• #5 had FCI of .62 in 2001.
• These buildings are in the way of expansion of Building #6.
Expand Building #6
• Provides additional crew room space and shower and locker rooms.
Staff Parking
• Additional staff parking accessible from Garfield Street
• Rework existing parking off Roosevelt Blvd. to meet City standards (landscaping, etc}.
PW Yard & Materials Storage
• Central storage space in center of site; easily accessible
• Some storage area can remain at SE part of site
New Vehicle Parking Building (S E Corner of site)
• Similar to Building #18. (May need to be shorter than #18 if nearby recycle ramp remains)
• Could replace Building #4 and #5.
Remove Building #8
• Small building in way of efficient vehicle circulation
BERRY ARCHITECTS, P.C.
