Amazon Park Workshop #2 Questionnaire Results <br />11 /20/03 <br />Questionnaires were distributed at the 2~d Workshop to gauge support for the concept <br />diagrams which were presented and to help identify priorities. 51 questionnaires were <br />returned. Below is a summary of the information collected. <br />1) In general, please rate your support for the ideas presented in the concept <br />diagrams (circle one). Scale of 1 -10 with 10 meaning high support and 1 <br />meaning low support. <br />19 = High Support (8-10) <br />9 = Medium Support (4-7) <br />8 = Low Support (1-3) <br />15 = Didn't respond <br />2) Do you feel the concept diagrams meet your, needs (circle one) Yes/ No. Why <br />or why not? <br />20 = Yes <br />12 = No <br />19 = Didn't Respond <br />Why- <br />• Addresses range of improvements. <br />• There's something for everyone. Too bad everything can't be done. <br />• New fields and restoration. <br />• Eugene residents need more general use turf athletic fields. <br />• Multi-use fields would help meet the needs of a larger percentage of field users <br />than baseball fields, which can only be used by one group. <br />• The concepts in the diagrams are important. <br />• Ideal plan. Is it realistic? <br />• .Improved athletic fields. <br />• We need more multi-use fields, near where many of us live, but your plan has <br />adequate natural resource measures. <br />• Your wish list is great, but obviously a little large. <br />• Supports additional athletic fields <br />Why not- <br />• I would like to see greater stream restoration, however I know there are other <br />needs. <br />• When will the city. stop taking away baseball opportunities from our kids and <br />community? <br />• The elimination of the baseball field is not compatible with the bond measure. <br />• If you cut out 90' baseball field you hurt the kids understanding of different. size <br />fields and that Kidsports is not the only league in town. <br />• Expansion of sports fields too close to natural areas.
