The Vision VISION YEAR 2005 The citizens of Oregon are stewards of the environment. They actively SOURCE REDUCE, REUSE, AND RECYCLE materials before they dispose of them. GETTINGTHERE Citizens Will: + Perform self-assessments to identify areas for waste prevention, reuse, recycling, and composting; + Source reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost; .Buy goods and services from businesses that practice waste prevention and recycling; and + Participate in local programs for recycling and composting. Business Will: + Perform self-assessments to identify areas for waste prevention, reuse and recycling; .Prevent waste, reuse and recycle; . Utilize secondary resources in manufacturing processes; .Buy goods and services from suppliers who practice waste preven- tionand recycling; and • Participate in local programs for recycling and composting.
